Part of what I like about drum machines – they’re awkward. They’re inherently the nerdiest piece of equipment ever made. There’s no such thing as a cool electronic musician. Put sunglasses on an electronic musician, give him a cool photo shoot and a cool haircut, deep down, he’s still a nerd who read Star Trek books growing up.
